Market Survey is a term used to describe the company’s capability to support clients in the conduct of market surveys for specific equipment requirements and market sector analysis as part of larger market survey activities.

DAS staff together with specialist associates utilise their engineering and business management skills to conduct market surveys and to inform client decision making. DAS personnel have considerable experience of analysing trends in government expenditure which can be deployed in support of market survey activities. DAS is also able to provide analysis of manpower availability and alternative site locations (for office or factory units) in order to support investment decisions.

The exact scope of work for any Market Survey task will be defined by the specific requirements of the client. The exact timing of the work and any necessity for up-dates to the survey will be driven by the need to reduce risk throughout the acquisition or project life cycle.

  • Preparation of Survey Questionnaires – DAS can prepare questionnaires as required to enable potential suppliers to be identified and short listed.

  • Conduct of Supplier Interviews – with the list of preferred suppliers DAS personnel can conduct screening interviews or support clients conducting interviews.

  • Data Collection and Analysis – in support of market survey tasks DAS will provide clients with comprehensive reports identifying national and global trends in government expenditure and cost of specific systems.

 

Track Record of Success

DAS personnel have successfully completed a variety of Market Survey based tasks for major clients. These have included:

  • Support to non-UK defence departments – The task included support to the client in preparation of the requirement, identification of potential suppliers, support in review of pre- qualification questions and subsequent tender submissions.
